# New Era of Productivity

A recap of the work behind effective selling: deciding where to focus, understanding accounts, finding and engaging the right people, and following what changes

#### Diogo Ribeiro, Rox Co-Founder & CGO

Sellers have more information about their customers than ever. Making sense of it still takes too much work. Before you can have a useful conversation, you need to understand what the customer wants to achieve and where your product can help.

That preparation matters when budgets are tight. Buyers need a clear reason to invest, and sellers need enough understanding of the business to make that case. Too much of their time goes into gathering information across tools and figuring out what deserves attention.

We built Rox to give sellers more capacity for this work. Today, that includes agents that find prospects and carry out outreach within the instructions sellers set. Whether you’re pursuing a new account or growing an existing relationship, the aim is to put what you know about the customer to work. That thinking shapes how we approach each part of the sales process.

#### **1. Plan**

Deciding where to spend your time starts with understanding your accounts. Rox combines public and private data to enrich account lists and help you prioritize them. Research, including job-posting analysis, becomes information you can use to segment a territory or build a targeted campaign.

A company hiring for a new initiative, for example, may deserve a closer look if that initiative relates to the problem you solve. The signal gives you a reason to investigate and a basis for deciding whether the account belongs in your plan. You can scope agent prospecting to an existing Account View, keeping the search focused on your chosen accounts.

#### **2. Research**

Good account research helps you understand how a company operates and what its people are trying to accomplish. It gives you a basis for asking better questions when you meet them.

Rox uses public and private data to research business models, priorities, challenges, and team structures across your territory. It can also [produce decks, documents, and reports from account context](https://docs.rox.com/development/about-rox/release-notes#september-9th-2026), including meeting transcripts and CRM records, with sources attached. Research columns can refresh on a schedule. That gives sellers both background and materials they can use in the next conversation.

#### **3. Discover**

Knowing an account is a good fit doesn’t tell you who to approach. You need to find the people involved in the problem you solve and understand why they might want to talk.

Describe the buyers you want to reach, and [Rox’s outbound agent](https://www.rox.com/platform/outbound-agent) searches for matching contacts, verifies their details, and explains why they meet or miss your criteria. The search continues in the background as new prospects become available. You can enable automatic enrollment of good-fit prospects into a sequence, reducing the work between finding someone and reaching out.

#### **4. Engage**

A useful message gives someone a reason to respond. It connects what you know about their business to something you can help them do.

You set the brief for the outbound agent and give it the account research and internal material it should use. The agent can run outreach on autopilot, handle replies, and book meetings. Manual-send steps remain available, and you can pause autopilot when needed. The seller’s work shifts toward deciding who to pursue and refining the approach as results come in.

#### **5. Monitor**

Accounts change between conversations. A new leader or business initiative can change what a customer needs and when they’re ready to discuss it.

Rox evaluates public events to identify developments relevant to your accounts. Alerts include a summary, supporting context, and sources so sellers can assess what happened and whether it matters to the account. From there, they can use the insight to inform their next outreach. [Insights can be rechecked against their sources on demand](https://docs.rox.com/development/about-rox/release-notes#july-15th-2026).

#### **A System Built for Sellers, by Sellers**

We designed Rox around the work of experienced sellers, including the preparation that happens long before a customer conversation. We know how much time goes into that work and how easily useful information gets lost between tools.

The activities described here build on one another. Research helps you prioritize an account and find the right person to approach. What you learn from that conversation shapes the next one, while monitoring helps you notice when circumstances change.

We want Rox to carry more of that work forward. Sellers define the accounts they want to reach and the approach they want to take, then use what happens to improve it. As agents take on more execution, the seller has more capacity for the customer conversations that follow.
