Outbound Prospecting

People Search is Rox’s built-in discovery engine for outbound prospecting. It lets you find contacts by name, title, company, and other attributes - powered by best-in-class data providers.

You can access People Search in two ways:

  • From the People landing page, click People Search under “Get Started.”

  • From inside any list, click Add Leads and select People Search.

Data Sources

People Search draws from multiple data providers to give you the broadest and most accurate coverage. You can select your preferred data source from the Contact Data Source dropdown at the top of the filter panel. Available providers include Mixrank and RocketReach, with each offering different strengths in coverage and data freshness.

Search Filters

The filter panel on the left side of People Search include contact-level or account-level filters, for example:

Contact-Level Filters

These filters narrow results based on the individual contact’s attributes:

Search by the contact’s full name

Job Title

Filter by current job title (e.g., VP of Sales, CTO)

Seniority Level

Target specific levels like C-Suite, VP, Director, Manager

Job Function

Filter by function such as Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Finance

Account-Level Filters

These filters narrow results based on the company the contact works at:

Search by the company’s website domain (e.g., rox.com)

Employee Counts

Filter by company size (e.g., 1–50, 51–200, 201–1000)

Industry

Target specific industries (SaaS, Healthcare, Finance, etc.)

Filter by city location

Country

Filter by country. You can type to search for any country beyond the default suggestions.

Search Results

Results display as a table with columns for Name, Company, Title, and Location. The LinkedIn icon badge is clickable and will take you to the person’s LinkedIn profile. .

Adding Leads to a List

  1. Select individual contacts using the checkboxes, or use “Select all” to select the full result set.

  2. Click Add to List and choose an existing list or create a new one.

  3. Selected contacts are added to your list with their core data fields populated.

  4. Enrichment columns on the list will automatically begin processing the new contacts.

When you add leads from People Search to a list that already has enrichment columns configured, those enrichments will automatically run on the newly added contacts.
