# Share and Reuse Sequences

Collaborate on outreach and reuse sequence structures and email templates across your team.

Share a sequence when teammates should work within the same sequence. Clone a sequence when someone needs an independent version with their own contacts and settings.

### Share a sequence

1. Open the sequence and select **Settings → Collaborators**.
2. Select **Add Collaborator** and choose a teammate.
3. Repeat for any additional collaborators.

Collaborators can find the sequence under **Shared with Me**. The owner can find it under **Shared by Me**.

### Owner and collaborator permissions

Each sequence has one owner. Collaborators can manage their own contacts and outreach, while the owner controls the shared sequence configuration.

| Action | Owner | Collaborator |
| ---------------------------------- | ------------ | ----------------- |
| Set steps, step types, and cadence | Yes | No |
| Edit agent instructions | Yes | No |
| Add contacts | Yes | Yes |
| Delete contacts | All contacts | Own contacts only |
| Manage email content and sending | All contacts | Own contacts only |
| View contact side-panel content | All contacts | Own contacts only |
| See the contact owner | Yes | Yes |
| Clone the sequence | Yes | Yes |
| Delete the sequence | Yes | No |

Each collaborator sends from their own connected mailbox. Sharing a sequence does not give everyone the same sending address.

### Clone a sequence

Select the sequence in the sequence list and choose **Clone**. The clone copies the sequence structure without copying its contacts and is independent of the original.

Review the copied configuration, research inputs, and sending mailbox before adding contacts and activating the clone.

If a shared sequence uses Clever Columns, make those columns available organization-wide before teammates clone it. Otherwise, the copied sequence may not have access to the research it needs.

### Roll out a reusable sequence to a team

1. Have the manager or RevOps owner configure the sequence's steps, cadence, agent instructions, and supporting context.
2. Ensure the required Clever Columns are available organization-wide.
3. Share the sequence with the relevant reps.
4. Have each rep clone it if they need an independent working version.
5. Each rep reviews the configuration and adds their own contacts before starting outreach.

### Reuse email templates

Open **Sequences → Templates** to create and manage reusable email content.

<figure><img src="https://2986926806-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FUBzWA2LkfjbdaffIaGlN%2Fuploads%2Fo3FmbheeTQzS23pZSMHB%2Fimage.png?alt=media&amp;token=7b9e72b7-e563-415d-a754-cb4a3b2d1a7a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

| Library tab | Contents |
| ------------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| My Email Templates | Templates you created. |
| All Email Templates | Templates across your organization. |
| My Sample Emails | Sample emails you saved. |
| All Sample Emails | Sample emails saved across your organization. |

Select **Create Template** and give it a descriptive name, such as “Finance leaders: first outreach.” Templates can include dynamic variables that populate for each contact. Check the variable mapping and generated output before using a template in a live sequence.

A template supplies email content. A cloned sequence reuses the broader step structure and cadence.
